Uninsured Services & Fees
Certain medical services are not covered by the healthcare program and require private payment
While the majority of your primary care visits are fully covered by your provincial healthcare plan, some administrative and specialized services are considered "uninsured services." Payment for these services is the responsibility of the patient and is due at the time the service is rendered.
We accept payment via debit, credit card, or e-transfer.
Common Uninsured Services & Fees
- Driver's Medical Examinations: Required for commercial licensing or senior driver renewals.
- Medical Forms & Certificates: Completion of insurance forms, employment clearances, disability certificates, and legal documentation (e.g., MVA Forms AB-1, AB-2, AB-3).
- Third-Party Letters: Sick notes, school/work absence notes, and specialized fitness-to-participate letters.
- Prescription Renewals Without a Visit: Phone or portal requests for routine prescription refills without a scheduled clinic appointment.
- Missed Appointments / Late Cancellations: Fees applied if an appointment is missed or canceled without 24 hours' notice.
- Other Non-Insured Services: Minor procedures, specialized cosmetic or skincare consultations, and un-covered administrative transfers of medical records.
